Rams Sign Odell Beckam Jr.
The Rams signed free agent and wide receiver Odell Beckam Jr., the team's second marquee acquisition this month.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Rams have acquired marquee free agent Odell Beckam Jr., the team announced Thursday.
First reported by the Los Angeles Times, the blockbuster deal is a sign that the Rams are serious about making it to the Superbowl in 2022 when it's played on their home turf at SoFi Stadium. It comes a week after the Rams acquired Pro Bowl linebacker Von Miller.
Drafted in 12th in 2014, Beckam parted ways with the Cleveland Browns this month after a disappointing start to the season.

The wide receiver caught only 17 passes for 232 yards this season, according to the Times. Odell Beckam replaces DeSean Jackson, who the Rams let go last week.
According to ESPN, The Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks were all vying to sign Beckham.
