Recognize This Classic Car Thief?

Los Angeles Police are asking for help identifying a man suspected of stealing a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A classic car worth as much as $100,000 was stolen from a West Los Angeles parking garage, and police are asking for help recovering the car and identifying the car thief.

The theft took place at about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 4 in the underground parking garage of a commercial building on the 12200 block of West Olympic Boulevard in West Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The stolen car was light blue 1958 Chevrolet Corvette with a Rhode Island License plate number 1KJ358.

The suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fled the location," the LAPD announced.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, and between 25 and 30 years old. He was seen wearing a gray t-shirt, dark shorts, gray or white shoes, a black backpack. He was carrying a skateboard.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect was urged to contact the West Los Angeles Auto detectives at at 213-446-6658.
