Southwest Flight Makes Emergency Landing At LAX Amid Mechanical Issue
The flight from Sacramento to Orange County was diverted to Los Angeles after enduring a mechanical issue.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Southwest Airlines airplane landed safely in Los Angeles International Airport after it experienced a mechanical issue, an airport spokesperson told Patch.
The flight was diverted to Los Angeles instead of John Wayne Airport in Orange County after its flight from Sacramento. The airplane landed safely at 12:40 p.m., said Victoria Spilabotte, a public information officer at LAX.
It wasn't immediately clear if the passengers would be rebooked on a flight or bus to John Wayne Airport. Typically, she said, adding that the airline normally handles such matters.
