🦃 Thanksgiving Poll!
Thanksgiving is on November 24th. How do you celebrate? So far, 56.3% celebrate a big meal as a family tradition, while 25% don’t celebrate and treat it like any other day. In a smaller group, 6.3% don’t celebrate because they feel it glorifies the conquest of Native Americans; however, 12.5% choose to celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving out of gratitude.

📰 Here are the top stories in Los Angeles today:

1) Two men were stabbed by a male suspect “in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Whitley Avenue,” which is the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It happened Monday night at 10:05 p.m. The suspect escaped. (Star Beacon)

2) A man suspected of sexual assault near “Western Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, where he approaches victims and lures them into his car” is on the loose. He has tattoos, the letter “M” shaved on the side of his head, and “may be known as Mainor, Maynor, or Mainer.” If this sounds familiar, or you know someone who somewhat matches the description and drives a newer model car with tinted windows, call Special Assault Detectives at 213-473-0447. (Fox)

3) Glassell Park residents want you to slow down. We learned on Saturday that speed tables were installed on Verdugo Road “in Verdugo Village to slow down traffic and improve safety for pedestrians.” (The Eastsider LA)

4) The Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot is coming to the City Hall area! This Thanksgiving tradition is a Midnight Mission fundraiser. The goal is to raise “$100,000 (equals 66,000 meals).” Participants for the 5K start at 8 a.m., 10K runners are on at 9 a.m., and the Kids’ Widdle Wobble takes off at 10:15 a.m. (Patch)

5) The Tateuchi Democracy Forum at 111 North Central Avenue will host a FREE program honoring Karin Higa this Saturday. “Karin Higa: Hidden in Plain Sight” begins at 2 p.m. and “highlights the legacy of the late curator, writer, and cultural activist.” (Rafu)
