Evacuations At LAX After Suspicious Item Found

Passengers and workers were evacuated Monday from the busy airport.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A suspicious item prompted evacuations at the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday morning.

The suspicious item was found at the ticketing and screening area in the upper level, according to the Los Angeles Airport Police Department's Twitter account.

A bomb squad investigated the scene as passengers were diverted to the lower level. The scene was cleared around 12:35 p.m.
