Teenager Fatally Shot Near Compton

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said homicide Lt. Steven De Jong.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives Saturday are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in an unincorporated area between Gardena and Compton.

Deputies were called at 11:58 p.m. Friday to the 13100 block of Jarvis Avenue, between Main and San Pedro streets, in Willowbrook regarding a shooting.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said homicide Lt. Steven De Jong.
