LOS ANGELES, CA — All flights out of Los Angeles International Airport were briefly halted due to a thunderstorm Thursday, causing more than 150 flight delays, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The ground stop was issued shortly after noon and lasted until 1:30 p.m., according to the FAA.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain and lightning stemmed from the remnants of Tropical Cyclone Priscilla, which is sending showers and thunderstorms into Los Angeles County today into early Friday, along with elevated humidity.

According to flight tracker FlightAware.com, there have been 158 delayed flights reported out of LAX Thursday and 2 cancellations as of 1:20 p.m.
