LOS ANGELES, CA — Actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson became the latest celebrities targeted by burglars in Los Angeles, according to media reports Monday.

A guest house on the Los Angeles estate of the "Forrest Gump" star was broken into, according to police reports obtained by TMZ. No one was injured in the brazen daytime burglary, but it marks another high-profile stain on a city plagued by organized burglary crews.

The burglary reportedly occurred a few weeks ago, and police arrived to find broken glass outside the guest house. The main house on the estate was not broken into. Neither Hanks nor Wilson were home during the burglary.

The home of Hanks and Wilson is the latest break-in at a celebrity's home. Drake, JoJo Siwa, and Goldie Hawn and various Dodgers players and basketball homes have reported break-ins at their homes.

It is also part of increased reports of home burglaries in the San Fernando Valley and in the Los Angeles area.
