'Top Chef' Semifinalist To Open Caribbean Restaurant In LA: Report

The celebrity chef's latest venture will open in the spring, according to Eater LA.

LOS ANGELES — A new Caribbean restaurant is coming to Los Angeles, courtesy of “Top Chef Canada” semifinalist Adrian Forte of Toronto, according to Eater LA.

The restaurant, called Lucia, will be on Fairfax Avenue north of Beverly Boulevard and is set to open in the spring, Eater LA reported, adding owner Sam Jordan selected Forte to come up with a modern menu for the formal space.

Forte is from Kingston, Jamaica, and created the Afro-Caribbean pop-up YAWD, writing a cookbook of the same name. He has cooked for celebrities and appeared on “Top Chef Canada” and “Chopped Canada.”
