LOS ANGELES, CA — A group of teenagers was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after reportedly being sickened by cannabis edibles while on a field trip to the La Brea Tar Pits, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The field trip was disrupted at about 12:45 p.m. when a security guard at the museum noticed something off about the teens.

"Eight (male and female) teenage students from an unidentified school, were on a field trip to the La Brea Tar Pits, when they were discovered acutely ill by an on-site security officer, who called 911," Brian Humphrey LAFD spokesman said.
