Two Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash On 110 Freeway In South LA
A man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving for allegedly triggering a crash that killed a driver and passenger in another vehicle.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving for allegedly triggering a two-vehicle crash that killed a driver and passenger in another vehicle Sunday on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles.
The crash occurred at 4:40 a.m. on the southbound freeway at Slauson Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The driver and passenger of a 2014 Hyundai Elantra suffered fatal injuries as a result of a broadside crash with a 2017 Buick Regal, CHP officials said. The driver in the Hyundai, a 43-year-old man, and his passenger, a 40-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A representative from the Los Angeles County coroner's office was called to the scene at 4:53 a.m.
The Buick's driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He was later identified as Warnervee Walton, 30. Walton was the lone occupant inside the Buick. The people involved in the crash were all residents of Los Angeles.
