Woman Found Dead On 10 Freeway, Investigation Underway: Police

LOS ANGELES, CA — An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead by Caltrans workers on the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles Sunday morning.

The woman's body was discovered at around 9 a.m. Sunday in the Accident Investigation Site turnout on the westbound 10 Freeway, east of La Brea Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

She was later identified by the Medical Examiner's office as 33-year-old Evelin Morales Garcia.

Police were called to the scene after Caltrans workers found her body covered by a white blanket in the turnout, KCAL reported.

Garcia's death is under investigation by the CHP.
