Woman Hospitalized For Smoke Inhalation After Fire In Hotel Room
Sprinkler activation held the fire in check, preventing it from further spread, according to the LAFD.
CHATSWORTH, CA — A 40-year-old woman was extricated from a hotel room in Chatsworth Sunday and hospitalized for smoke inhalation after a small fire.
Smoke was reported emanating from the room at The Holiday Inn at 21340 W. Devonshire St. around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Arriving units entered the hotel room to find a well-involved fire confined to the couch, which activated fire sprinklers.
