Woman Stabbed To Death Near East Los Angeles

Sheriff's deputies Sunday were continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a woman in her 20s in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Sheriff's deputies Sunday were continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a woman in her 20s in an unincorporated East Los Angeles neighborhood.

The attack was reported at 6:16 p.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Whittier Boulevard. Deputies were dispatched to the location in response to an assault with a deadly weapon call, according to Deputy Tony Moore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The woman, suffering from stab wounds to the upper body, was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead, he said.
