2 Alarm Fire Significantly Damages Home, Leaves Family Of 4 Homeless In Los Altos
A two-alarm fire Saturday afternoon in Los Altos caused significant damage to a home and left a family of four homeless, officials say.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A two-alarm fire Saturday afternoon in Los Altos caused significant damage to a home and left a family of four homeless, a Santa Clara County Fire Department battalion chief said Sunday.
The fire was reported at around 4 p.m. April 16 on Casita Way near the city's border with Mountain View, Battalion Chief Dennis Lollie said.
Fire damaged the first and second floors of a two-story home and destroyed the garage, but no one was injured, Lollie said.

It appears the fire started in the garage, but the cause is under investigation, according to the SCCFD.
Lollie did not know how much damage in dollars the fire did.
