• Speiser elected vice president of board of education (losaltosonline.com) — Los Altos families are now represented by a new vice president on the Santa Clara County Board of Education, as Trustee Jessica Speiser, who long served on the Los Altos School District board, was selected for the role. Her Trustee Area 1 covers Los Altos School District and Mountain View–Los Altos Union High, alongside neighboring districts, while colleague Victoria Chon was chosen as board president.
   

• How Los Altos City Council could navigate a possible seat vacancy (losaltosonline.com) — Los Altos residents may soon see a city council seat open if Vice Mayor Neysa Fligor wins a county assessor runoff, triggering either an appointment or a special election.
