BOLD Organics, a gluten, dairy and allergen-free food company, is holding a free gluten-free cooking demonstration Saturday, Oct. 13, at Whole Foods Los Altos on 4800 El Camino Real from 4-6pm.

BOLD’s Chief Culinary Officer Eric Brenner, the chef who crafted a great tasting pizza, has teamed up with the Celiac Community Foundation of Northern California to put on this free event for the people of the South Bay.
Chef Eric has been cooking to meet the needs of the millions who have gluten, dairy and other food allergy sensitivities for years and is sharing his techniques and secrets, as he prepares a menu that is easy, healthy and delicious.
The menu includes BOLD Organics pizza, Sweet Potato and Poblano Chilaquile with Chipotle Salsa; Princess Chicken Stir fry; and a Flourless Chocolate Cake.

BOLD Organics offers 4 varieties of pizza – Vegan Cheese, Veggie Lovers, Meat Lovers and Deluxe. The pizzas are also milk-free, lactose-free, casein-free, whey-free, egg-free, peanut-free and tree-nut-free, and contain no GMOs, preservatives, nitrites, nitrates or trans-fats.
BOLD Organics is available at Whole Foods, Draegers, Lunardi’s, New Leaf and other independent grocery stores.

With at least a half dozen restaurants identifying themselves as gluten-free, along with almost 100 gastroenterologists helping to diagnose and treat celiac disease in a 10 mile radius, Los Altos and the South Bay was the ideal place for two groups promoting gluten-free awareness events.
Earlier in the day the Crowne Plaza Cabana Hotel hosted the 2012 Gluten Sensitivity & Celiac Forum in Palo Alto.
Organized by HealthNOW, doctors and experts in the field of gluten spoke about the most recent developments, research findings and basic fundamentals of how to eat and regain health.
