Dr. Marco Favero will be the Expedition Leader. He is a longtime researcher of ornithology and marine biology, an active seabird conservationist and serves on the board of the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition.

To prepare you for the icy climate, we provide you with polar essentials, some to keep, that are hand delivered directly to your stateroom by the concierge, such as custom designed expedition parka, backpack, insulated winter boots, waterproof pants and trekking poles. I remember thinking when I did my first trip to this part of the world. I am well equipped with cold weather gear. I have a fur coat, and all my winter gear from my numerous ski trips to Europe. It was fun to be outfitted by the experts. I might have looked chic in Switzerland, but my fur coat wouldn’t have impressed the penguins.

I would recommend you take an extra four days and go to see Iguazu Falls. The three largest waterfalls in the world are Niagara, U.S.A, Victoria, Africa, and Iguazu., Argentina. This is my favorite.

Go visit Abercrombie & Kent on line for thrilling photos, blog stories and daily trip logs. At Frosch, we love dealing with such an expert to this part of the world.

This should be on your bucket list, or at least, dream.
