Happy Holidays

I couldn't let the year come to a close without sending all our readers best wishes for a Merry Holiday Season, and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

This year has been a very stressful one, and I have just learned that my husband has gone into Hospice Care. I am blessed that he is in good hands, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Sunnyvale, and we are in God's hands as to when the end will arrive.

I can tell people, dream about future travel, as better times are ahead. I find that listening to music is a big help to me, and I appreciate the overseas telephone calls I am getting trying to cheer me up.

I am going to give you my favorite Scottish Christmas toast, which I hope will make you smile.

Here's to the mouse on the mantle piece

who dipped its tail in red hot grease

and so my friends, please raise your glass

to the only mouse with the french fired arse.
