Police Calls: Solicitors, Vehicles Burglarized

Solicitor calls continue to come in. The Los Altos Police log for Feb. 25, showed three vehicle burglaried, a gun turn-in and several suspicious circumstances calls. There were two parking citations issued to vehicles parked behind Los Altos High School, and a restraining order violation.

• 10:18 a.m., walk-in, 200 block of Covington Road; suspicious circumstances, officer made contact, information only
• 1:01 p.m., Covington Road & Spencer Way; suspicious vehicle, officers responded, information only
• 2:13, walk-in, Lyell Street and San Antonio Road, suspicious circumstances, officers made contact, information only
• 2:40 p.m., 1400  block of Grant Road, suspicious circumstances, officers responded, information only
• 6:17 p.m.,  700 block of Arroyo Road; suspicious circumstances, unfounded

Parking Complaint

• 10:53 a.m., Casita Way and Jardin Drive; parking violation, vehicle cited
• 2:00 p.m., Jardin Drive and Casita Way; parking complaint, vehicle cited

Disturbance

• 11:24 a.m., 2310 Homestead Road; late-reported disturbance, reporting party requesting contact with officer
• 6:55 p.m., walk-in, 2310 Homestead Road; late-reported disturbance, reporting party requesting contact with an officer

Theft

• 12:16 p.m., 200 block of Portola Court, petty theft from an unlocked vehicle, officers responded, information only.
• 2:10 p.m., 200 block of Delphi Cir., vehicle was rifled, nothing taken, reporting party declining contact or report
• 4:51 p.m., walk-in, 160 First Street; theft from a vehicle, officer responded, information only            

Gun Destruction

• 2:19 p.m., walk-in, 600 block of Stardust Lane; two guns brought in for destruction

Abandoned Vehicle

• 4:24 p.m., Madonna Way and University Avenue, abandoned vehicle, officer responded, vehicle was tagged

Solicitor

• 6:37 p.m., 600 block of Covington Road, solicitors in the area, officer responded, unable to locate

Restraining Order Violation

• 8:13 p.m. 200 block of Los Altos Avenue; restraining order violation, report taken
