Thieves Run With Porch Packages, Come Back For More
Mountain View Police search for two males, two females who grab packages from a porch on Beatrice, then return, until one sees the camera.
MOUNTAIN VIEW - The Mountain View Police Department is hoping local residents will recognize four thieves who stole packages from a porch on Beatrice Street.
Police say that on Jan. 11 around 2:43 p.m., home surveillance footage captured a group of two males and two females walking past a home on the 200 block of Beatrice Street.
The suspects are shown in the attached images.

The group stops in front of a home and walks up to the porch. Mountain View Police say the two females take two packages that had been delivered to the home earlier in the day day.
The foursome leave, but roughly 15 minutes, authorities say they return to the home.

In the video police are examining, one of the male suspects walks by the home carrying an orange bag with contents from one of the stolen parcels. The second male walks up to the end of the driveway and stops, apparently to watch the street.
The two females return to the porch, and one of them begins shaking the lock to try and open the front door.
Police say at that point, one of the women notices the surveillance camera; the two women quickly leave the front porch. and walk down the street.
Mountain View Police are on the lookout for these suspects:
- Suspect #1: A Hispanic female wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue skinny jeans and black slip-on shoes. She has long black hair and an average build.
- Suspect #2: A Hispanic female wearing dark-framed glasses, a pink hooded sweatshirt, black skinny jeans and black and white shoes. She has long, curly hair and is wearing a black and multicolored backpack.
- Suspect #3: A Hispanic or white male wearing a red baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki colored pants and white shoes.
- Suspect #4: A Hispanic or white male wearing a dark colored baseball cap with a red rim, a black hooded sweatshirt, light colored shirt and dark, slim cut jeans.

Police want you to consider these tips to ensure your packages are delivered safely and that they are not taken:
- schedule your package delivery for a time that you are home.
- have your packages delivered to your work during business hours.
- have the package either delivered to a neighbor
- have a neighbor pick up the package from your front porch and keep it for you until you get home.
- if you are an Amazon user, you can take advantage of Amazon Locker, where you can pick up your package from local pickup locations.
