LGS Recreation Receives Awards For Senior Program, Mural Project
The Los Gatos organization was recognized at the California Park and Recreation Society District 4 Awards and Volunteer Recognition Dinner.
LOS GATOS, CA — LGS Recreation, which offers recreational programs in the Los Gatos community, received the Key to the Community Award earlier this month for its 55 Plus Program and the Award of Excellence for its contributions to the Forbes Mill Footbridge Mural Project at the California Park and Recreation Society District 4 Awards and Volunteer Recognition Dinner.
The Key to the Community Award is given to an agency that demonstrates unique innovation during the pandemic, and the Award of Excellence highlights outstanding projects or programs.
The 55 Plus Program offers a variety of services for community seniors, including virtual programs, essential services, special events and day trips. It was one of the few senior-related programs in the Bay Area that remained open during the pandemic.
