Every town has its traditions. Check out these fun facts about what makes Los Gatos so special.

Los Gatos is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Los Gatos has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.
A few things to know:
- For a unique outdoor activity, visitors can hike the Los Gatos Creek Trail, a 9.7-mile trail that runs from Lexington Reservoir to Meridian Avenue in San Jose. The trail is popular among locals for its scenic views and peaceful atmosphere.
- The Los Gatos Theatre is a historic landmark in the city, having opened in 1915. In addition to showing movies, the Art Deco-style film house also hosts a variety of community events.
- History buffs will enjoy a visit to the Forbes Mill History Museum, which showcases the history of the pioneer days as well as a series of rotating exhibits. The museum building is also a historical landmarks.
- Los Gatos is also known for its annual events, including the Cat's Hill Classic cycling race, which has been held in the city since 1974, and the Los Gatos Wine Walk, which features tastings from local wineries.

- For wine lovers, Los Gatos offers several tasting rooms and wineries that specialize in local wines. Testarossa Winery, Left Bend Winery and Wine Cellar Los Gatos are just a few of the great options out there.
- The town has a strong sense of community, with several local events and organizations that bring residents together. These include the Los Gatos Certified Farmers Market, Music in the Park and the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. There are also several community organizations, such as the Los Gatos Lions Club and the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, that work to support local businesses and charities.
