Los Gatos Police Department To Take Part In Law Enforcement Torch Run
The department has a goal of raising $7,500 for the Special Olympics. It had raised more than $1,400 as of Tuesday evening.
LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos Police Department will take part in the 25th annual Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics on Friday.
Officers and others from the department will begin the run at 8:45 a.m., meeting with runners from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
The public is invited to cheer on the runners. The Los Gatos Police Department will begin by taking the Special Olympics torch at the Santa Clara County Fire house, and carry it five miles through downtown Los Gatos to Campbell.

The torch will then be handed off to runners from the Campbell Police Department.

The Summer Games take place at Santa Clara University on June 25-26.
