NUMU's 'In The Artist's Studio' To Feature Iconic Charlotte Kruk

The artist, teacher who uses candy wrappers with her crafty displays plans to reveal her processes at the Aug. 24 event.

LOS GATOS, CA — Let there be any doubt NUMU is both as new and hip as its artists.

Case in point, for all of you who like Bravo's "In the Actor's Studio," the museum invites Los Gatos residents and visitors to applaud "Inside the Artist's Studio" with James Lipton. And at 1 p.m. Saturday, it will bring out the charming, creative and feisty Charlotte Kruk, AKA KrukTart.

A Lynbrook High School, San Jose art teacher, Kruk will talk about her inventive candy-wrapper couture, including the ins and outs of making these unique quasi sculptures. For example, the artist doesn't use glue. She sews the wrappers to the figurine — not your grandmother's type of stitchery.
