SJ Teen Accused Of Running People Over Outside Restaurant
A teen boy faces serious charges after police allege he ran people over with his car after a confrontation at a restaurant in September.

SAN JOSE, CA — A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after police allege he intentionally ran people over outside a San Jose restaurant in September.
In a news release Friday, the San Jose Police Department said the incident followed a confrontation inside a restaurant near Stewart Avenue and Alum Rock Avenue in the early morning hours of Sept. 23.
According to police, the suspect followed the victims out of the restaurant and ran over them with a vehicle before fleeing the scene and returning to strike another victim who suffered life-threatening injuries. Officials on Friday released surveillance video of a vehicle speeding through a group of people.

Investigators identified a juvenile as a primary suspect in the case and obtained an arrest warrant earlier this month. The department's covert response unit arrested the unidentified boy on Nov. 8 in San Jose, where he was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of attempted murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
