South Bay Goes Under Flood Watch As Next Round Of Storms Near
The Flood Watch is in effect through 4 p.m. Monday.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for most of the greater Bay Area including all of Santa Clara County.
The Flood Watch is in effect through 4 p.m. Monday.
At least three more storms will impact the region, with heavy rainfall and high winds along with a possibility of thunderstorms expected. Residents are advised to prepare for associated disruptions.

Many roadways and underpasses could experience flooding.
Areas that have been hardest hit by a series of storms that started Dec. 27 will be particularly susceptible to flooding, the NWS said.

Soils in some areas are nearly completely saturated, so any additional rainfall could cause flooding concerns, especially near steep terrain and burn scars.
“Flood Watch has been issued Saturday morning through Monday afternoon as at least three more storms will impact the region in the coming days,” the NWS tweeted.
