Youth Falling From Rope Swing Rescued At Lexington Reservoir

According to a juvenile witness account, the person flew off the rope into the water at the shallow end and was transported to the hospital.

LOS GATOS, CA — Firefighters rescued an injured juvenile at Lexington Reservoir after the youngster fell in the water from a rope swing Tuesday at midday, the Santa Clara County Fire Department reported.

Cal Fire's rescue helicopter was dispatched about 11:30 a.m. to assist in locating the person near the 18000 block of Alma Bridge Road. A second juvenile at the scene told the authorities the friend had fallen into the shallow edge of the reservoir shore.

After being treated, the rescued youth was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
