• Person Found Dead Following Structure Fire in Lucerne Valley; Bomb Squad Requested (vvng.com) — A deadly house fire on North Side Road in Lucerne Valley left one adult dead Monday evening, after firefighters battled the blaze from a defensive position. A potential explosive hazard prompted the Sheriff’s Bomb Squad to assist before crews could safely enter. Investigators are still working to determine the cause, and the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
