County Authorities Identify Man Who Died in Malibu

MALIBU, CA — A person who died when a vehicle crashed down an embankment in the Malibu area was identified Saturday.

Ronald Delao, 56, was the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

The crash was reported about 6 a.m. Thursday on Kanan Dume Road at mile marker 11.76, north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office identified Ronald Delao, 56, as the victim.

Delao died of blunt trauma, the coroner's office said.

Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
