MALIBU, CA — An earthquake rattled Los Angeles and Ventura counties Monday morning.
The 3.6 magnitude quake was recorded at 4:22 a.m. about 4 miles north of Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was reported at a depth of about 6.5 miles.
The quake struck days after a 4.7 magnitude temblor rattled Southern California.

The quake, also centered in the Malibu area, hit at about 7:28 a.m. Thursday, according to the USGS. Shaking could be felt for several seconds across more than 100 miles. It was followed by several small aftershocks.
The quake on Monday was felt as far as Long Beach to the southeast and Ventura to the northwest, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
