Malibu Country Mart to Host Summer Block Party

Families can enjoy a petting zoo, balloon art and face painting, among other activities.

The Malibu Country Mart will celebrate summer with a family friendly street fair in August.

The Summer Block Party starts at 2 p.m. Aug. 11, and will feature an afternoon of live music, activities, and an assortment of nostalgic treats.  The event will culminate with the last film screening from the Mart’s Summer Movies Series, according to organizers.

Activities will include a Rony’s Photo Booth, tarot card readings by Cathy Crystal, caricature portraits, and airbrush and henna tattoos. Activities for the younger set include a petting zoo, balloon art, and face painting. Multiple food vendors will be positioned around the Mart and will offer complimentary carnival treats such as cotton candy, popcorn, funnel cakes, churros, candy apples and ice cream.
