New Appointments Made For Malibu Commissions

Malibu's newest council members made their appointments to a number of municipal bodies, including the arts commission and public works.

MALIBU, CA — New Malibu City Council members on Jan. 9 made their appointments to multiple city commissions including parks and recreation, arts and public safety.

As the newest council members, Marianne Riggins and Doug Stewart made 14 new appointments representing public works, public safety, planning, parks and recreation, arts, wastewater and homelessness.

The city's commissions, committees and boards "serve an important role in community involvement, ensuring that the knowledge, experience, perspectives, values, needs, ideas and concerns of Malibu’s community members are represented," according to the city of Malibu.

  • Parks and Recreation — Cayley Jenner
  • Planning — Skylar Peak
  • Public Safety — Brian Merrick
  • Public Works — Mica Belzberg
  • Wastewater Advisory — Nick Barsocchini
  • Homelessness Task Force — Bill Winokur
