Suspected DUI Driver Slams into Parked Car on Pacific Coast Highway

A driver suspected of driving under the influence slammed into a parked car on Pacific Coast Highway Friday.

The crash was reported about 3:30 p.m. Friday on PCH east of Carbon Canyon Road, according to Lt. Matthew Squire of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lost Hills/Malibu Station.

The parked car was "launched across lanes and thankfully didn’t strike anything else," Squire said. 

The other vehicle struck a brick mailbox. The driver was taken to a hospital to be checked out, he said.
