When And How To Recycle Christmas Trees In Malibu

Curbside tree pickup continues through Jan. 15 in Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — Having a live Christmas tree is fun until the season ends, and it becomes time to dispose of the evergreen. Luckily, Universal Waste Systems has made it easy to dispose of old trees this month.

Here's what residents need to do: Simply place a live tree by the curb no later than 6 a.m. on a regular service day. Trees taller than 6 feet must be cut in half.

The last day to leave a live tree by the curb is Jan. 15.
