The popular North Manhattan Beach pizza joint has opted to close due to the number of spiking coronavirus cases in Manhattan Beach.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Beach Pizza in North Manhattan Beach has opted to extend its holiday closure and remain closed indefinitely due to the surge of COVID-19 in Manhattan Beach, according to a recording. The established pizza joint is a go-to for many residents in El Porto, the Tree Section and the Sand Section.

The recording pins the onus of its closure on Manhattan Beach residents, saying the extended closure is "due to spiking numbers of COVID cases in Manhattan Beach. We look forward to seeing you when it is safer to reopen. Happy New Year and stay safe from everyone here at Beach Pizza."
