Boy, 14, Still Missing A Week After Disappearing From South Bay

The 14-year-old boy was last seen on Nov. 4.

HAWTHORNE, CA — Authorities on Tuesday asked for the public's help finding a 14-year-old boy who has been missing for a week and was last seen in Hawthorne.

Richard Hyde was last seen at around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 on the 3100 block of 132nd Street, just east of Crenshaw Boulevard, in an unincorporated area of Hawthorne, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

"His family is concerned for his well-being," deputies wrote.

Hyde is a 5-foot-7 Black boy who weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white sweater and black sweatpants.

Anyone with information regarding Hyde's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's South Los Angeles station at 323-820-6700. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers online or at 800-222-8477.
