City of Manhattan Beach Domain Changes To End In .Gov

Effective Friday, the URL for the city, known as www.citymb.info, will now be www.manhattanbeach.gov.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – The City of Manhattan Beach has changed its website domain (URL) which will now end with .gov. The former website URL for the city, known as www.citymb.info, will now be www.manhattanbeach.gov.

The .gov domain is exclusively utilized for local, state, and federal government entities. Utilizing the .gov extension aligns with government best practices and assures the online community of the website’s legitimacy. Furthermore, the new website domain gives strength to the Manhattan Beach brand.

In addition to the domain change, city staff email addresses will also reflect the domain update. When contacting a Manhattan Beach city employee, the end of the email address will change from @citymb.info to @manhattanbeach.gov. Community members and organizations should update their contact list to reflect this change.

During the domain transition, individuals who visit the www.citymb.info website will be automatically redirected to www.manhattanbeach.gov and email messages sent to a recipient’s old address will be forwarded to their new one.

Individuals who have the City’s current website domain saved as a “favorite” or “bookmark” on their computer and mobile devices are encouraged to update their preferences and settings to reflect the new address.
