Coronavirus Hitting Manhattan Beach Hard As Numbers Go Up

The city is close to doubling its number of positive tests for Novel Coronavirus in just 2 months as Los Angeles County hospitals struggle.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach is not faring well when it comes to residents testing positive for the Novel Coronavirus. Just two days ago, the city had 787 cumulative cases since Los Angeles County began collecting data in March. The latest report puts the number of cumulative cases in the city at 821, an increase of 34 in two days. More than one month ago, on Friday, Nov. 7, Manhattan Beach had 437 positive tests for the Novel Coronavirus so in close to two months, the city is close to doubling the amount.

According to a Los Angeles County news release, "According to the State, the Southern California Region continues to have 0% ICU capacity remaining. The only path that will reduce the demand on hospital care is to decrease the number of people becoming newly infected with COVID-19."
