MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Getting a head start on the weekend by heading to the beach on Friday? Here's your outlook on conditions from Surfline via the South Bay Dawn Patrol.

Modest scale swells will get a refresh with a northwest windswell energy up a notch.

The blend will maintain knee to waist waves with occasional stomach to chest high sets for well-exposed spots of the region.

The morning will start out clean to semi-clean with light/variable to light northwest wind, and will then change to light to moderate west-northwest wind in the afternoon.

Low tide will bottom out just after sunrise. High tide peak at 5 feet around 1 p.m.
