Gas Prices Continue to Drop in LA and Orange Counties

Drivers in both counties have seen the lowest prices since February.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 18, decreasing 1.4 cents to $2.883.

The average price has dropped 10 of the past 11 days, decreasing 7.1 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The decreases follow a run of six increases in seven days.

The average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago, 10.9 cents lower than one month ago and 30.7 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since Feb. 15, decreasing 1.4 cents to $2.846.

The Orange County average price has dropped 12 consecutive days following a seven-day streak of increases. The Orange County average price has dropped 7.9 cents over the past 12 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday.

The Orange County average price is 6 cents less than one week ago, 9.8 cents lower than one month ago and 29.7 cents below what it was one year ago.
