There were 66 cases reported during the week of August 9-15.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —COVID-19 cases were up a bit during the week of August 9-15. Los Angeles County of Public Health is reporting 66 cases with zero deaths.

According to vaccine data through August 8, the county is reporting 26,374 individuals in Manhattan Beach have been provided at least one dose of various coronavirus vaccines as of August 16.

Los Angeles County is reporting 24,299 cases with 127 new deaths during the same period.

The City of Manhattan Beach is encouraging residents to get vaccinated. "All federally-authorized vaccines work well and help protect you, your family, and your friends against COVID-19," city officials said in a social media statement.
