MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Crime in Manhattan Beach is up from last week during the period from July 22-28, according to a crime report released by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The report lists 25 incidents with a significant increase in overall thefts

Rape
A rape was reported on 7/26 on the 1600 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd.

Auto Theft
One case of auto theft was reported on 7/27/21 on the 1500 block of 21st St.

Assault
There were three incidents of assault reported between 7/22-7/26 occurring on the 1600 block of Rosecrans Ave, the 3700 block of Highland Ave, and at 33rd St & Morningside Dr.
Burglary
There were five reports of both commercial and residential burglary between 7/24-7/25, including an attempted bike theft on the 3400 block of Pacific Ave and miscellaneous items stolen from the 1300 block of Highland Ave.
Robbery
Jewelry was stolen from a residence on 7/18 on the3400 block of Highland Ave.
Auto Theft
An auto theft was reported on 7/21 on the 3600 block of Elm Ave.
Theft
There were fifteen reports of theft in Manhattan Beach between 7/22-7/27, including three incidents of stolen catalytic converters, two stolen bikes, and an electric scooter stolen from the 600 the block of 29th St.
