Kinecta Federal Credit Union Donates Backpacks For Students
The Manhattan Beach-based company donated 850 backpacks filled with school supplies during its 12th annual giveaway.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Hundreds of families made their way to the parking lot of Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, August 7, to pick up backpacks, school supplies, and sweatshirts ahead of the new school year for the Kinecta Federal Credit Union backpack giveaway.
The Manhattan Beach-based business collected nearly 850 backpacks and school supplies with the help of employees and supporters, including the Skechers Foundation, Adidas, and LA Galaxy Forward, Cameron Dunbar.
Approximately 350 local families attended the drive-thru distribution and were provided with backpacks; sweatshirts donated from Smiles by Angels, a sack lunch, and frozen treats from Kinecta’s Ice Cream Truck. The remaining backpacks were donated to other school and community partners.
