LAX Super Jammed; Most Parking Lots Are Full

Los Angeles International Airport’s parking lots were nearly full Friday.

Airport police said the garage at Terminal 5 was full, as was the gigantic Lot C remote lot off 96th Street.

Other garages in the terminal area were more than 90 percent full Friday.

Airport officials had anticipated the heavy load, and had suggested that persons arriving at LAX by car to pick up arriving air passengers aim their cars for the cell phone lot on 96th Street east of Sepulveda Boulevard, and wait there until the passenger walks out of the terminal and phones them.
