Man Fatally Shot Before Crashing Into Front Yard Of South Bay Home : Sheriff
Authorities say they are looking for at least two suspects who were on foot when they shot at the man.
LAWNDALE, CA — Sheriff's deputies say they are investigating a weekend shooting in the South Bay that left a man dead.
The man was driving in the 14600 block of Larch Avenue in Lawndale around 11:26 p.m. Saturday when two suspects started shooting at him, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The gunfire struck the driver, who then crashed into the front yard of a nearby home, authorities said. He died at the scene, according to the LASD. His identity was not immediately released.

The suspects, meanwhile, walked away from the area in an unknown direction before authorities arrived, according to the LASD said.
Investigators at this time believe the shooting was gang-related, which authorities describe as a crime carried out in benefit, in association with or at the direction of a criminal street gang.
