For the second time in three years, Manhattan Beach Fire Capt. Dave Shenbaum will receive the South Bay Medal of Valor award. Shenbaum and 11 police officers, who are the recipients of Distinguished Service Awards, will be honored at a luncheon Thursday.
Shenbaum has been a county lifeguard for 25 years and a Manhattan Beach firefighter for 18.
