Manhattan Beach Library To Reopen Its Doors To The Public

The library is scheduled for partial reopening on April 19.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Manhattan Beach Library will be reopening its doors to the public on April 19. Visiting hours are still being determined.

"We're still working out specific details," a library staff member told Patch.

The public library is one of 30 in the Los Angeles County Library system to begin the process this month.

Select in-person services will include:

  • Browsing the collection and checking out items
  • Use of public computers (up to 1 hour per customer)
  • Printing
  • Pickup holds
  • Brief reference interactions to assist in finding materials or information
  • Free Wi-Fi use

To maintain public safety, visitors will be asked to maintain a 6-foot distance between other customers and library staff when in line and inside the library; wear a face covering at all times; follow posted directional signage; make library trips quick and efficient; and keep food and drink out of the library.

Currently, the Manhattan Beach Library is only offering curbside service for picking up items on hold.
