Grades of Green's Annual Fundraiser for Environmental Education a Success Thanks to Attendees
THANKS FOR MAKING VERTE 2018 A SUCCESS!
The room was full of some of the environmental movement’s most incredible allies and we were privileged to honor the City of Santa Monica, and award our first-annual Environmental Leadership Awards to students, Annemarie and Younes.
Santa Monica Mayor Ted Winterer and Councilman Terry O’Day reminded us on Saturday how critically important it is that our children know how to protect the earth. And that they keep at it. They could be the last generation to be able to stop the devastating effects of climate change.
Saturday night was not only a celebration of Grades of Green, but a chance to honor the incredible work of our students. VERTE 2018, emceed by the CEO of Positivity, Court Crandall, featured moving speeches, an appearance by our inspiring students, tequila by Nosotros and a delicious dinner by Paella Project. Thank you to the VERTE 2018 host committee, attendees and supporters making this possible.
