Registration Still Open For Pier To Pier Friendship Walk

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Thousands of people will flock to the Manhattan Beach Pier on Sunday for the 15th annual Sketchers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk.

Every year community members walk from the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back to raise money to support children with special needs and education. Since 2009, the walk has raised more than $18 million to support The Friendship Foundation and education foundations in the South Bay.

"We hope all our residents, parents, and community members will support by registering for this incredible event that supports children with special needs and students in our Manhattan Beach public schools," city officials said.

All Manhattan Beach Unified School District public schools have official walk teams that residents can register for on the Education Foundation's website. Residents can also register as a "virtual walker" to be included in the event even if they're not there.
